The Planning Division is responsible for the development and administration of programs to guide the physical development of Antioch, utilizing the General Plan, a variety of Specific Plans and the City's Zoning Ordinance for policy guidance. The Division provides design and environmental review of development proposals and general public information services.

The Division provides the Planning Commission, the City Council and the Design Review Board with analyses and recommendations on development applications.

The economic crisis and its negative impact on the City’s budget have resulted in reduced staffing levels. We are committed to providing you the best customer service possible and have made some changes to our schedule.

Starting August 31, 2009
Full service counter hours are:
8:00a.m. to 11:30a.m.

During this time all services are available to customers and a Building Inspector, Planner, Engineer, or Code Enforcement Officer will be available to assist you.

We are closed for lunch from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m.

Staff is available to assist customers by appointment only between the hours of 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. City Hall is closed every Friday.
