The men and women of the Antioch Police Department are committed to making Antioch a safer place to live. Antioch Police officers routinely and selflessly give of themselves to our community.

At a moments notice we may be faced with resolving critical incidents and many of these incidents place our citizens and officers lives at risk.

The Antioch Police Department maintains a specially trained and equipped team of police officers who are assigned to the SWAT and Hostage Negotiation Teams. The assigned officers can be called on in the event of a high risk or critical incident and they are tasked with bringing these incidents to a successful conclusion. The primary mission of the SWAT and Hostage Negotiation Team is the preservation of human life.
